Resolved Question: Husband filed for divorce in Iowa can you answer these questions?

I live in Texas and in the first page it says: You are further notified that unless, within 20 days after service of this original notice upon you, you serve, and within a reasonable time thereafter file a motion or answer, in the Iowa District Court for Linn County, at the Courthouse in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, judgment by default will be rendered against you for the relief demanded in the Petition for Dissolution of Marriage. Does this just mean that if I dont go there in person that they will proceed with the divorce or does it mean that he will get everything he asks for??? Im so confused. In the actual petition they also stated that we were married in Iowa but really we were married in Texas. How would I go about correcting this and does it help or hurt that I am living in the place that we were married?... Read More »
